Chen Wen-Zheng, 59, who lives by the Youluo River in Hengshan Township, began weaving grass as a child after playing with swaying silvergrass near his home. Gathering grass during outings and hikes, he weaves it into vivid insects and birds, making traditional straw weaving an enduring part of his life.
