Weaving Identity and the Emotional Heritage of the Tribe—Pan Ya-Li
For Pan Yali, objects made from shell ginger perfectly embody the image of home, while also carrying the deep sense of unity and mutual care within the tribe.“In our community, almost everything is done together—it’s a truly collective way of life. Whether it’s weddings, funerals, or celebrations, everyone helps one another.”This strong bond led Pan Yali to return to her hometown immediately after graduating from National Dong Hwa University. Through her work with the community development association, she has been able to reflect more deeply on the future of preserving tribal culture and traditional craftsmanship.
