A Textile Artist Who Weaves Stories of Hometown

Yijun observed that it is not easy to find work in rural areas that allows women to balance childcare and daily life. “Ciao-Fu” offers training programs, flexible working hours, and a piece-rate outsourcing system to provide income opportunities.“I hope that when mothers come to the studio, they can take a short break from their daily responsibilities, reconnect with themselves, and build shared connections with other members. By creating finished products that are recognized and appreciated, they can rediscover their sense of self-worth and gain greater confidence.”Currently, there are 11 members from Xuejia, Madou, Yanshui, and urban Tainan. Together, they design and develop products, crafting bags and small items using natural materials for sale. They also take custom orders and host hands-on workshops. “Ciao-Fu” can often be seen participating in local markets and events around Tainan.
