Weaving Dreams by Hand, Spinning Threads from the Scent of

Rice — Textile Artist Chang Shu-Er

Zhang Shu-E jokingly recalls her shift from Japanese teacher to rice-scented farmer. Driven by courage and purpose, she now exports rice-straw crafts—especially to Japan—blending Taiwanese and Japanese cultures into playful, practical designs inspired by zodiac and local imagery.
